SCNL participates in Conservation International-GEF FOLUR Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Workshop

The Society for the Conservation of Nature of Liberia (SCNL) today, April 27, 2023, participated in Conservation International-GEF FOLUR Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Workshop. The workshop started with welcoming remarks from Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), while GEF-FOLUR Project Manager Nelson Jallah presented the overview of the project progress, and emphasized that all Implementing partners should at all times integrate MEAL in their work during implementation.

After several presentations, there were group sessions to discuss and review the following:  Project M & E indicators and level of frequency in measurement, stakeholders/ partners to be involved in M & E activities, and how should the information be disseminated, challenges and barriers that hinder M & E, and what are opportunities for improvement.

After several presentations, Hawa Biddeh -Dugbeh SCNL Gender and Safeguard Officer presented the essence and tools to mainstream Gender and Safeguard in M&E.  The session ended by discussing the meal information gathered from the group presentations and the information will be circulated and validated at a later date.
