SCNL Attends A Two-Day Legal Working Group (LWG) Meeting In Bong County

The Society for the Conservation of Nature of Liberia (SCNL) as Co-Chair, along with the entire NGO-Coalition Management Team attended a two-day Legal Working Group (LWG) Meeting in Gbarnga, Bong County. The meeting was organized by the Heritage Partners Association (HPA) and Client Earth with funding from the UK Government under the MFGAP Project. The meeting brought together CSOs, Government, Lawyers, CFMBs, CFDCs CLDMCs, NUCFDC, and several other key stakeholders to validate the template for Commercial Use Contract (CUC) for the community to use effectively when getting into chainsaw milling agreement with the third party.  The presence of the CSOs was strongly felt through the full representation of the NGO Coalition Management Team. Many thanks to HPA for developing this legal tool for community use.
