SCNL Conducts Bird Watching Activity in Marshall.

On Sunday, October 10, 2021, old and new members of SCNL’s Birdwatching Club converged at SCNL’s HQ in Congo Town, at about 6:30 AM and headed out to the Libassa Ecolodge, in Marshall, Margibi County. Over 46 persons from various international and local organizations made the trip. The Science and Conservation Coordinator , Mr. Jerry Garteh led the team. The activities for the day commenced with coffee and tea, a pep talk by Mr. Garteh , who gave an overview of the Birdwatching Club, welcomed new members and laid out the plans for the day’s activities. After the talk , participants were given binoculars, and a map out of the routes.

The participants were divided into two teams, with Mr. Garteh leading one team and Mr. Michael Garbo, SCNL’s ED leading the other. After two hours of bird watching, the participants gathered for brunch. We look forward to the next birdwatching activity which will take place on the 2nd Sunday in November, 2021.
