SCNL builds capacity for her staffs by conducting training in customary land rights documentations and formalization.

Customary Land Right Formalization is a statutory prerequisite for the acquisition of statutory deed for community customary land in Liberia. This is in accordance with Articles 32, through 37 of the Land Rights Law approved September 19, 2018.

The workshop was intended to acquaint staffs on the processes or procedures leading to community customary land to better engage communities that we work in.

The training was necessary to build the capacity of staffs in the formalization procedures of customary land ownership under the Land Rights laws, and also acquired fundamental skills to engage community leaders as we set up various community Committees to embark on experimenting the Land rights Law procedures in our project communities. The training was facilitated by the Liberia Land Authority (LLA), with funding from Rain Forest Trust-SCNL.
